Basia Bulat with Symphony Nova Scotia

Taking stage with the renowned Symphony Nova Scotia, apart of Halifax Pop Explosion, Basia once again held me captivated. Her ease on stage, her extraordinary voice and her sheer presence won the hearts of the audience and everyone on stage.

Playing songs from Oh my Darling and her sophomore release Heart of My Own, Basia shone on stage. All arrangements were written by Owen Pallet, who has worked with Stars, Pet Shop Boys and Arcade Fire.

Little Joy

I fell in love...

This is a song that I fell in love with more when I saw the video. Little Joy is an off shoot of The Strokes and I think the whole album is really great. This reminds me of France in the 60's... even though I wasn't born yet! Great shots and great editing make this pretty terrific, but its all about her attitude.

Fall Fashions

Fall is my favourite season to dress for...

Vintage dresses and tall boots and a great jacket, jeans and a fun vintage sweater, turtlenecks, vintage knits and so much more! You can add colour and textures with scarves, hats, leggings and brooches.

You can stay on trend by wearing any of these with skinny jeans and thigh high boots or leggings. You can add some glam with fur collars, fur hats or old school muffs. If you don't believe in fur, they make great faux furs these days and you can't tell the difference.
